Mehreen Murtaza
Mehreen Murtuza (b. Riyadh KSA 1986) graduated with a BFA from Beaconhouse National University, Lahore, in 2008 and a year later she completed a teaching programme from her alma mater. In 2014 she joined a year’s programme called Home Workspace Programme in Beirut, Lebanon, run by the well known resident professors Jalal Tofic and Anton Vidokle.
Mehreen was awarded a fellowship for the grant Follow Fluxus – After Fluxus 2015, at the Nassauischer Kunstverein Wiesbaden. She has participated in various residencies including the 5th Fukuoka Asian Art Triennial, artist residency in collaboration with the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum, Japan, the Royal Over-Seas League (ROSL) Arts Travel Scholarship at Generator Projects, Hospitalfield House, Arbroath, Scotland, & London, UK and Gasworks Residency funded by The Charles Wallace Pakistan Trust – Rangoonwalla Foundation Award, UK. She lives and works in Lahore, Pakistan
