Irfan Hasan (b. Karachi Pakistan, 1982) graduated in miniature painting from National College of Arts(NCA) Lahore in 2006. In 2010, he won the Commonwealth Connection International Artists Residency Award. He has taught at Indus Valley School of Arts, Karachi, Pakistan and held shows in India, UK, and USA. Hasan’s works border on surrealism and the bizarre but in more recent works he has amalgamated the classical with the modern to address issues of modern day relevance; both societal and personal. Hasan currently resides in Lahore, where he is a visiting faculty member at his alma mater.
